| Description | The idea I came up with is to design a Risk like game that involves both deriving quadratics and understanding the military strength of each country relative to one another. The game starts out with players selecting countries they would like to represent. Each country has a designated number and missles, nuclear missiles, and defensive devices. The stronger the country, the more they have in each category. After countries are selected the object of the game is to kill off all your opponents. In order, to destroy another country you have to write a quadratic that reaches from one country to another. Writing an incorrect equation results in the country not being hit. Nukes destroy countries, multiple missiles are needed to destroy bigger countries. Defense devices can be used on nuclear missiles or regular, but if they are used on nukes the country directly in the middle of the countries at war is destroyed from nuclear fallout. I will be the math SME for this project. For this project a history teacher is preferred because knowledge of relative military power is needed. I am willing to work on another math project if needed. |
