| Title | Fitness Frenzy |
| Description | Team Members: Matt Villaescusa, Leo Hsu Being Physical Educators, we have been searching for topics that would be relevant for our student population. Currently in our district a new policy has been adopted that requires all freshmen students pass five of six state fitness tests (Fitnessgram). If these students do not pass five of six fitness tests they will then be required to take a (remedial) class titled, "Fitness for Life" each year until they pass a minimum five of six fitness tests. This class has a fitness-based emphasis rather than a skills/knowledge based or sports-theme (team sports, court sports, field sports, dance, weight-training = Electives). Our idea for a game is based upon the five parts of fitness and being able to identify various fitness concepts, fitness standards, and/or perform fitness activities or exercises. Tentative ideas for the game board would be: - Game pieces would be various sporting equipment - Game board might include opportunities for students to display knowledge of five parts of fitness, Healthy Fitness Zone Standards (HFZ) for Fitnessgram Test, and physical performance (i.e.- "Perform one fitness test that measures muscular-strength").
