EDTEC 670 Board Game Project Proposal Detail

If you think this is one of the projects you might want to work on, print this page out or bookmark it.

TitleThe perfect job applicant
DescriptionObject of the game: As the name of the game implies the purpose of the game is to allow players to become "the perfect job applicant" and get a really fantastic job.

Context: The initial idea centered around body language cues but as the game has been developing, it was best to make this only part of the game. The game will involve role play where each player plays a character with a set of different attributes both good and bad. For example, the player is ambitious but belligerent. The overall aim is to collect cards that represent job qualities usually sought for in a suitable job applicant. He must also keep in mind that his initial attributes could work to his advantage or disadvantage and so they play a big part in winning the game. So in order to collect these cards the player will go through a journey of self amelioration interacting with the different players and with the different areas on the board that will teach him skills. For example, the coffee shop will teach him social skills. S/He will also be negotiating with other players and seeking to exchange cards that are necessary for him/her to proceed.
