| Title | Real Robots |
| Description | Look at this game first (play it too): http://www.kongregate.com/games/Coolio_Niato/light-bot The board game that I am thinking about is very similar to the online game above except that it will be a board game. ----Real Robots--------------------- Players 2-4 Goal: It teaches programming skills, how to be methodical thinkers, how to analyze before and after. Deck of Cards: forward card, jump card, left card, right card, flashlight card or bug card (the bug card kills one of your cards) You take turns drawing 7 cards from a deck but you only choose 5(just like scrabble) to program your moves. This will give you more chances of getting good cards. There will be four checkpoints on the board. Red in the corner is where players start Green is a block Dark green is 2 blocks Blue is water (danger) Yellow is upgrade (player gets to choose special card) Red in center is the goal (I have a board already created. If you need to look at it, please email me.) This game will be a linear game and sort of like a race game. You roll the dice to see who goes first, second, third, fourth. You are a robot trying to reach all three checkpoint. You will program/rearrange your five cards so that you can move toward your checkpoint. As soon as you used all five cards, the next player will then use their 5 cards and try to reach the checkpoint. You will draw 7 more cards every time you finish your turn. When you complete your moves, the next player can go. If you make a mistake and land on the wrong box, then you lose your turn and the next player can go. Everytime you get a "bug" card, you automatically lose one card from the 5 that you pick, meaning you will only have 4 cards to program your robot. Team member: Teresa Richards |
