LDT Alum Jolie Kennedy is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She has just published an article in the journal Distance Education titled Using TPCK as a scaffold to self-assess the novice online teaching experience.
Jolie examined a course she developed using the I CARE model which was created by LDT emeritus faculty Donn Ritchie and Bob Hoffman and analyzed it into the TK, PK and CK components of TPCK. The end result was a deeper insight into ways to improve the course.
Sounds like an approach with lots of applicability. Congratulations, Jolie!
